Mr LS Rickard ("Prof")

The Hereworth community is saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Lawrence S Rickard ("Prof") in Christchurch. He was a student at Hereworth from 1936 -1940 and was Dux of the school for three consecutive years 1938-1940. Mr Rickard went on to teach at Hereworth from the second term of 1954 to 1984. "Prof" was definitely a character who many Hereworth Old Boys still reminisce about today. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. At the time of writing details of "Prof's" funeral are unavailable.
