Attending Hereworth was a huge part of my childhood. Now a 22 year old man, ten years later, its hard to comprehend the type of person I would be without the Morals and integrity I learned there. I was, believe it or not a bit lost when I arrived at Havelock North High, but fortunately I have two of the greatest people for parents and they decided that for the later half of my 3rd form year they would relocate the family to the small town of Engeura, Spain. Needless to say it was an invaluable experience and a place that still holds some of my favorite moments in life.
Upon returning to New Zealand and HNHS i had lost all interest in cricket and Rugby was slowly on the way out. A new sports passion came in the form of, Snowboarding. Soon I was obsessed and I felt more at home on the mountain then I did in Havelock North. This was no secret and before long I moved to Wanaka to attend Mt Aspiring Collage for my 7th form year and one of the best years of my life. It was here that I met my life long friends and really pushed my snowboarding. By this time 4 months of riding wasn't cutting it and I was traveling back and forth between America and NZ following the snow, competing and shooting photos for Snowboarding publications.
In 2009 I found myself in the States with minimal funds so I decided to skip an NZ winter to replenish the bank account. Maine was the place I decided to do this. The pulls were free rent, lobster fishing and most of all family. What I didn't plan for in Maine was all the time I had to think. Think I did and that thinking took me to LA to entertain the idea of becoming an actor. I fell in love with the craft and the art of story telling through film and have never looked back. Acting couldn't be further from my sporting background and it's a profession I never thought I would get involved in. Life is about taking risks, trying new things and seeing where they take you.
With a good set of morals and integrity I think anyone can take what life throws their way.
