Leave and Absences

If a boy is going to be absent from school at short notice (e.g. in the case of overnight illness) we request that either the office (877 8138) or the boy’s classroom teacher (via email – teachers first name added to @hereworth.school.nz ) is notified before 8 am on the day of the absence. If boys are absent without notification, reception staff will contact families from 8.30 am to ascertain the boys whereabouts.

Where families wish to request leave for their son during a school term for family or other reasons, a written (emailed) request should be made to the Headmaster ross@hereworth.school.nz or the Executive Assistant lisa@hereworth.school.nz . Please make sure that adequate lead time is allowed to process and respond to requests for leave.
