Parent Communication

School to Home Communication
Our aim is to make this website the main communication portal for the school. As we content manage this site, any suggested improvements, are welcomed.

In addition to this website the following communication vehicles are used:

  • Term Calendars (Outlines all term events)
  • Monthly Update (recapping recent events, pupil/staff achievements and looking forward to upcoming events)
  • Weekly Friday Memo (Outlines the week ahead and any calendar changes)
  • Class Newsletters (Sent out at the beginning of each term outlining class programmes)
  • The Locker Room (a once or twice yearly publication keeping our ‘extended’ school family up-to-date with key happenings at Hereworth)


Home to School Communication
We have at least two to three scheduled parent teacher meetings throughout the year and these are well advertised. If parents/caregivers have any queries or concerns, we urge them to contact their son’s teacher (educational) or the school office (administrative) as soon as possible - do not wait for scheduled meetings. All staff are on email with their school email address being their first name followed by @hereworth.school.nz  e.g. (ross@hereworth.school.nz)
