Our School
Hereworth is an Anglican School catering for both day and boarding schoolboys, offering weekly as well as full term boarding facilities. A limited number of boarding positions are also available for international students.
Hereworth is recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading independent schools, specialising in primary and intermediate education for boys – both day and boarding. Founded in 1927 by the amalgamation of Heretaunga School (Hastings) and Hurworth School (Wanganui), Hereworth has flourished ever since. The School is set in magnificent surroundings, situated at the foot of the Te Mata Hills, in the peaceful Hawke’s Bay village of Havelock North and commands stunning views of the Heretaunga Plains.
