It is normally hard for a boy of Preparatory School age to come to grips with this aspect of life. However, it is held to be the very base of what is taught here at Hereworth.
The chief aim here being to prepare the ground for future growth of the boys, spiritually and emotionally. To equip them for all of life ahead.
The Chaplain organises services which include visiting speakers, who are invited on a regular basis each term.
The Choir has long been a central part of the cultural activities of Hereworth. The boys sing in the Chapel regularly and perform throughout the year at special events, culminating in two Christmas Carol Services, one for the School and one for the Havelock North community.
"The school chaplain is regularly involved in school life. Her role in leading students in experiences such as religious instruction sessions assists in upholding the special character of the school. Chapel services also provide a time of reflection for students and their teachers.
