Parents' Association
The Hereworth Parents’ Association (HPA) is a great way for parents to get involved with the school. It works with school management and teachers to maintain, promote and advance the interest and welfare of the School.
Get Involved
Through its activities the HPA endeavours to provide the School with amenities and equipment as well as maintaining and developing the interest and goodwill of parents, friends, students and staff.
It holds monthly meetings with an Annual General Meeting at the beginning of term one. The AGM elects Executive Officers (President, Vice President, Secretary and Finance Officer) who will hold these positions for one year.
The committee does not involve themselves in matters of curriculum, teaching or school policy, but do provide support in terms of personnel and funds. All fund-raising by parents falls under the responsibility of the HPA.
The HPA raises funds through a range of annual and biennial events, and is well supported by the parent community who assist in the running of these events. It is the aim of the HPA to create innovative and fun events that attract not only the school community but also the surrounding community. Our events are well supported by local businesses, making them a huge success.
At the commencement of each year the HPA organise get togethers for each year group, as well as participating in regular Open Days and the new parent introduction function at the start of the year.
