Our Vision and Values

For almost a century, Hereworth School has been laying the foundations for successful students, and helping transform them into incredible young people.

This is the best of both worlds - your child will join a school steeped in history and excellence, but with a modern sensibility and both eyes fixed firmly on the future.

We stand for educating children in a challenging, inspiring environment, understanding their need for activity and also allowing some quiet time for reflection. We provide a safe environment for your child to step out of their comfort zone and try something new and challenging.

At Hereworth, our students turn into confident, connected lifelong learners who are actively involved in their community. They are able to recognise right from wrong and celebrate spiritual and cultural diversity.

First and foremost, we make learning enjoyable and relevant.

Mission Statement

Hereworth School, an independent boys and girls’ preparatory school, embraces the values of honesty, integrity, initiative and unselfishness, and will deliver “peace of mind” to our parents and their children. This will be achieved through an all-round approach to education that encourages self-esteem, good work habits, discipline and sound Christian values, allowing your child to achieve to their optimum level of potential.

Strategic Statement

The Board of Trustees is in the process of developing a new five-year strategic plan.

With Hereworth becoming a co-educational school, and with our centenary approaching in 2027, our new strategic plan will look to secure and develop the future of Hereworth for generations to come.

This will be available to the public in 2024.
