Community

The Hereworth Community

At Hereworth, our community embodies a positive, constructive culture that is inclusive and welcoming of diversity. At all levels within the Hereworth family, we expect to constantly evolve and improve ourselves. Teachers, students, and even parents must challenge themselves to grow as individuals and as a community, and make our world a better place.

In addition to the people at school, the Hereworth community extends to include the families of our students at school, the Hereworth Parents’ Association, the Hereworth Foundation, Hereworth Old Boys’ & Girls' Association, the Diocese of Waiapu, and the Havelock North community. Each group provides valuable support and input into making Hereworth such a unique learning and living environment. We are lucky to be part of such a caring community.

Hereworth 4WD Trek

The Hereworth Old Boys’& Girls' Association 4WD trek is postponed after Cyclone Gabrielle in 2023, but we are looking forward to rehosting this event in 2024.

Board of Trustees

The Hereworth School Trust Board provides sound governance and financial stewardship for the school now and into the future.

Hereworth Foundation

The Hereworth Foundation is the vehicle that manages the financial support given to the school. As a trust established in 1962 by a group of Old Boys, the Foundation works to ensure the financial viability of Hereworth and secure its future as an independent school.

Contribute to the Future

There are a number of ways you can contribute to Hereworth’s future, and all gifts are recognised and valued greatly, whether large or small.

Hereworth Old Boys' & Girls' Association

Established in 1948, the Hereworth Old Boys’ & Girls' Association (HOBGA) is an informal but energetic body that provides an ongoing link for past pupils with the school.

Hereworth Parents' Association

The Hereworth Parents’ Association (HPA) is a great way for parents to get involved with the school. It works with school management and teachers to maintain, promote and advance the interest and welfare of the School.
