Pick Up and Drop Off Information
To ease congestion within the school and to make drop off safer and more efficient, we have introduced a Turning Circle by the Rose Garden/Sundial area. This will be in place for the start of the 2026 school year.
Staff will be on duty in the morning during drop off times. The turning circle will serve students in Year 3 and above, and is a drop-off zone only – no parking. After dropping off, cars are to exit via Hillsbrook Avenue, thus avoiding the need to drive through the school.
Junior School students (New Entrants and Years 1-2) and any older siblings of Junior School students are to be dropped off at the back of school.
Boarding students can be dropped off on a Monday and picked up on a Friday at the front of Wiremu. Note – this pickup/dropoff area is only available to boarding families.
Things to note:
Please indicate when turning left into the turning circle.
Drive as far around the circle as possible to enable multiple cars to use.
If you need to park your car for a short amount of time to assist your child, do not use the turning circle. Instead, please park in the Sports Centre car park and return to Hillsbrook Place to exit.
If dropping off sports gear on a Monday (larger cricket bags), consider using the Sports Centre car park.
When exiting Hillsbrook Place we encourage you to turn left onto Te Mata Road.
If you usually drop-off at Hereworth Grove, please continue to do so.
If you child is older, we would encourage dropping them off outside school grounds on Te Mata Road and asking them to walk across the grounds towards school, weather permitting. This will remove the need for your vehicle to enter the school entirely, thus helping to reduce traffic
Pick-up arrangements:
To ensure fewer vehicles are driving through the school at pick-up time, we ask families of students in Year 3 and above to collect their children from one of the following:
The Sports Centre car park
The school playing fields or surrounding streets
The turning circle if your child is waiting for you.
The turning circle may be used for pick-up only if your child is ready and waiting when you arrive.
