Revised Tuition and Boarding Fees - Online Learning Environment

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

On Wednesday morning we resumed limited operations under Alert Level 3 with just a small number of boys coming to school whose parents are required to work and there is no other care option available at home.

These boys worked on-line connecting with their teachers and peers, similar to being at home. Thank you to Mrs Field and Mr Primrose, who are the main supervisors of our two small bubbles, and to Mr Scott, Mrs McLeod, Mrs Stevens and our gappies, Archie and Jack, who are providing them with breaks during the day. Thank you also to all staff who continue to support the teaching and wellbeing of our boys.

As mentioned in the COVID Updates of 23 and 27 August, a sub-committee comprising members of the Hereworth School Trust Board and Senior Management have been planning our tuition fee structure for operating under a remote on-line learning environment.

As a result, a discount of 15% to current tuition fees will be provided to all families from Wednesday 18 August, the first day of lockdown, and will continue whilst teaching under an on-line learning environment until we return to Alert Level 2 when all boys are able to be back at school. This amount has been carefully reviewed to best reflect the online delivery model costs for the school and considers the recent and current financial circumstances of being at Alert Levels 4 and 3.

Boarding fees will not be charged whilst in on-line learning mode.

Please note that all Hereworth School calendar events scheduled through until Monday evening, 6 September are postponed or cancelled. A decision regarding the home and away Huntley Prep Fixtures will be forthcoming. The performances of the Pirates of Penzance production will be moved to Term Four,  week 7 commencing Monday 29 November (second last week of Term Four). Further details will be provided in due course once the way forward with Alert Levels is known.

With warmest regards,

Trevor Barman
Headmaster
