The Quiz Night is back for 2025!

Another evening of brain-bending questions and laughter will take place on Friday 10 October from 6pm with plenty of prizes and auction items to win.

So grab nine teammates and secure your quiz table now, as this event sells out quickly.

Please note - we will have single ticket sales as well, so if you can't muster up a quiz team of ten, don't worry! You can book individual tickets and will be put into a table on the night, made up of other Hereworth supporters.

So no matter if you're a seasoned quiz pro with a table of fellow brainiacs, or new parents to Hereworth who want to get involved and meet new people, we'd love to have you along.

This is a fundraising event organised by the Hereworth Parents' Association. 

The donations and gifts we receive play a huge part in the 'auction & fundraising' part of the evening, so if you have anything you think may make a wonderful auction item, please email us at hpaevents@hereworth.school.nz.  All items, big and small, will be gratefully received.

If it's your first time? Here are 5 things to know about the Hereworth Quiz Night.

1. More than anything else, this is a fun, casual social event on the school calendar for our parents and friends. Winning the quiz is important for year-long bragging rights but it's an incredibly informal evening to be enjoyed with other parents and friends of Hereworth. 

2. With that in mind, dress-up is actively encouraged and there will be prizes for best-dressed table! So pick a theme and get stuck in. Also, give your team a really good nickname that we can add to our scoreboard. 

3. We'll provide light nibbles on the table, but you should bring your own food. Last year's Quiz Night had everything from pizzas from a local pizzeria to bespoke snacks and desserts. We want you to eat well, so go for gold. 

4. We will be operating a bar from the dining room kitchen, where you can purchase beer and wine. Non-alcoholic options will also be available. There will be an eftpos machine onsite, but you are also encouraged to bring cash to speed things along. Please drink responsibly on the night and ensure you have the means of getting home safely. 

5. The quiz is the main event, but the auction is where things get fun. You will be informed of the items that are available at the auction well before the event.
